Blessed beyond measure!

Here I am with my honey!
He is my eternal sweetheart,
my best friend in the whole world
and the man of my dreams!
We have 5 wonderful children
and a beautiful daughter in law!
After more than 25 years of marriage
we feel blessed beyond measure!
We don't claim to be perfect. Like all other families, we have our share of challenges. However, we do love each other and we love the Lord. Our goal is to strive to live each day the best we can so that, through the atonement of Christ, we can one day be worthy to achieve our life's greatest dream of living forever in His presence as an eternal family.

Brandon's and Kim's Wedding

Brandon and Kim
Married on July 10, 2008
BEST FRIENDS!
A few months before they announced their engagement, I asked Brandon if he thought that he and Kim might get married some day. His answer was, "Well Mom, she is my best friend!"
I took that as a "YES!" And now, here they are, man & wife,
bride & groom, sweethearts and best friends!

(Groom's dinner)

What a GORGEOUS couple!!!

While Kim was getting ready for the big moment, we snapped a couple of family shots.

It's hard to believe we're old enough to have a married son --but we are. It seems like it was our wedding day just yesterday. Of course, to our kids, our yesterday was more than a lifetime ago.

Blogging and Making Memories

Starr Family "Makin' Memories!"
This is me - Mother Teresa -
with my eternal sweetheart, Rick.
He's the man of my dreams!!!

Recently our family hiked Mt. Timpanogas. We didn't get to the top but we did hike a good four & a half hours. What a GREAT day! It was gorgeous -- and such a BLAST!

This is our family (Daniel & his friend Neal, Dad, Tiffany & Tyler) hiking Timp. Not pictured: Jason and me. I'm taking the picture and Jason was back at camp doing homework. He's so dedicated! Our sweet son, Brandon and his cute wife, Kim aren't in the picture either. They couldn't come with us that day. We hope they can go hiking with us next summer!

Blogging and Making Memories:

I always admired bloggers but I thought I couldn't afford the time to do a blog. Recently I have reconsidered. Time is rushing by and our kids are growing up. With as fast as life is passing us by, I now realize that I can't afford not to blog. I can't afford to forget any more special moments in time. Too often we think we will remember special family moments but life keeps up busy and often we forget the happy, little moments that make up our daily lives. From my high school days on, my close friends have known me as a person who often says, "Hey, were' makin' a memory!" Whether it's a happy memory, a hard memory, a funny memory, a frenzied memory, a sweet memory or a sad memory, we are always making memories!

Recently our family took a hike up Timpanogas. It was a wonderful moment in time; one that I hope to remember forever. I decided to start blogging so that I could do better at keeping track of all of our life's memories. I think that blogging will help us take time to savor the sweet moments with our family. So here goes, my first attempt at blogging. "Hey, we're making a memory!!!"
